Our version of Lord of the Flies is set in a near-distant apocalyptic future, at a remote private school/daycare facility. My major inspirations were children brought up/into wartime (ie Hitlerjugend, Blitz Kids), and the sensationalization of military in American boyhood (Boy Scouts of America, Boy’s Life Magazine), throughout the 20th century. I am interested in exploring our bodily relationship to war and violence, and it’s maintenance through order.
